Connect Café is open to the public between 12 noon and 3pm Monday to Thursday and then on Friday we are open from 10 am to 3pm. It is a welcoming place for people of all ages to meet, socialise and relax. We particularly cater to families, having lots of space and equipment for children to play.
We offer a free WiFi hotspot for you to bring and use your smart phone, tablet or laptop. If you prefer, use one of our computers instead; they are totally free to use!
Most of our food, e.g. soups, sandwiches and cakes, are freshly made to order in our kitchen by our staff, using ethically sourced products. Even our coffee suppliers surpass Fairtrade standards. Check them out at Ethical Addictions.
We also offer food / milk warming facilities for customers wishing to prepare to feed babies / young toddlers.
Besides all these great features , Peter Murphy, one of the of café volunteers says:
“Connect Café is not only coffee and cakes. It will also generate income to fund projects to benefit the whole community.”
